I get hungry more often when I'm pregnant. Can I eat more because it feels like the food that I eat is feeding 2 human beings?

For pregnant women, hunger beyond what a woman normally experiences occurs for many women. You may eat more during pregnancy, up to 300 calories more than your usual intake, but not excessively. Overeating during pregnancy may lead to excessive weight gain and increase the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus. You want to avoid having to worry about your blood sugar levels during pregnancy, so do eat moderately, and check with your gynaecologist and dietitian on your weight gain.
